James M. Baker is president of the Chaseland Corporation, an Atlanta-based commercial real estate development company, and Baker & Lassiter, Inc., an Atlanta-based asset management company. During his 37 year real estate career, Mr. Baker has focused on the development of shopping centers, office and medical buildings, industrial parks, industrial buildings, and multi-family residential developments. Mr. Baker has been both an organizer and director of other metro Atlanta area banks and his real estate experience adds to our knowledge and ability to help meet our customers real estate needs.
Charles S. Conklin, III is vice president of Old Peachtree Estates, a commercial real estate development company in the Atlanta area. He received his B.S. from Washington and Lee University and his law and MBA degrees from Georgia State University. He has been both an organizer and director of another area community bank.
Gary Dorminey, Former CEO of Community First Bank in Carrolton. Gary built a management team that transitioned a failing S&L into a well respected state chartered bank, including a successful IPO in 1997. In 2002, the bank was sold to BB&T. Gary’s experience in growing a bank will be valuable to the Resurgens Bank team.
Charles M. DeWitt, III, President & CEO – With 20 years in the banking industry, mostly with SunTrust and its predecessors, Charles has experience in many aspects of banking including retail, commercial lending, credit, capital markets and mergers and acquisitions. He received formal credit training with SunTrust, a BS from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at LSU. Since 1995, he and family have resided within Resurgens Bank’s primary market where he is involved with Northlake Rotary and on the board of trustees for the Northlake Community Alliance.
Joseph S. Ellis is senior vice president in charge of employee benefit plan sales at Wells Fargo Insurance Services in Atlanta. He graduated from Vanderbilt University and has completed The Wharton School’s Certified Employee Benefit Specialist program. Mr. Ellis serves actively with La Amistad Latin American mentoring program and Childspring International.
William W. Guerry is vice president of product management at Damballa, Inc., an information security company in Atlanta, and was previously with SecureWorks, Inc., the largest managed security service provider in the world. He is a former director of Bank of Walker County in Jasper, AL. He received his B.A. from the University of the South and his MBA from Vanderbilt University.
Joseph W. Odom, Jr. is a CPA and president of Joseph W. Odom, Jr., P.C., which principally provides litigation support services to the Chamberlain Hrdlicka, White, Williams & Martin law firm. Formerly, he was employed by the Internal Revenue Service. He is director and audit committee chairman of another metro Atlanta community bank. He received his B.S. from Georgia State University. He currently serves as a leader with the Boy Scouts.
Jack J. Reynolds, Jr. is the Chairman of the Board for Resurgens Bancorp and the Bank. He is a certified public accountant and real estate developer and was formerly employed by the Internal Revenue Service. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia. He has been an organizer of several community banks in metro Atlanta and has strong bank Board of Director experience, including Chairman of the board, audit and loan committees that will be valuable to Resurgens Bank.
Lee Van Dyke is a partner with Bank Financial Services Group, a national consulting firm that specializes in the implementation of nonqualified retirement plans for financial institutions and bank-owned life insurance financing strategies. He was previously a bank examiner for the OCC. He received his B.S. from Vanderbilt University and his MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
